CWU Central Branch members from South East Queensland to the NSW Mid-North Coast are facing significant hardship due to Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred and the devastating weather that followed.
On behalf of the Branch Commitee of Management, and Central Branch members across the country, our thoughts are with our members who have been impacted, their families and their communities.
We want to ensure you have the support you need during this difficult time. To help ease the immediate burden on your families, as you attempt to pick up the pieces and assess your individual impacts, we are offering emergency financial support donations to affected members of up to $1,000 per eligible member to assist with essential recovery costs associated with:
- Damage to homes
- Damage to vehicles
- Damage to clothing, appliances and other household contents
- Loss of perishable food
We understand that recovering from such an event can be overwhelming, and we are here to help. If you need assistance, please don’t hesitate to apply by completing the form at https://cwucentral.org.au/alfred and a member of our team will be in contact with you, shortly.
Should you require any further assistance in relation to this matter, please contact Assistant Secretaries Cameron Bird, Peter Chaloner or Nick Townsend, or Branch Officials Cade Anderson, Lisa Bahls, Nick Bentley, Chris Gleeson, Phil Kessey, TK Ly, Robbie McLauchlan, Kyle Murphy, Liam Murphy, Peter O’Connell, Brett O’Neill, Peter Psomas, Giselle Saba, Kerry Turner or Dennis Williams on (02) 9893 7822 when calling from NSW or the ACT, (07) 3255 0440 from QLD or (08) 8443 7389 from SA or the NT.
