Following strong feedback from members and consistent representations made by your Union’s national leadership team, Australia Post have now agreed to offer new ventilated helmets (DR17 and Multijet models), which are now available for posties to order.
This outcome is a direct result of members raising concerns about heat, airflow, and comfort – particularly during warmer months, and the Union pushing for immediate improvements to health, safety and comfort.
Swap Your Existing Helmet at Any Time
Australia Post have agreed to allow any postie who wishes to change to one of the new ventilated models to be able to do so now, regardless of the lifecycle or age of a member’s currently issued helmet.
Members can order the DR17 or Multijet ventilated helmet through the standard ordering process on My Buy, through the McLeod’s Accessories Punch Out catalogue.
Both helmets are listed in the catalogue by their name, but also contain the word AIR in the name.
