Have Your Say: Australia Post Wants Contact Centre Members Back in the Office 3 Days Per Week

As members are no doubt aware, Australia Post has proposed increasing the minimum workplace attendance requirement for Contact Centre employees from one day per week, to three days per week.

Since this proposal was announced by management, we’ve received feedback from members across the Contact Centre network. While views may differ, the overwhelming theme emerging from members appears to be concern about the impact these proposed changes may have on work-life balance, family and caring responsibilities, commuting time, cost of travel, flexibility and overall wellbeing.

As we engage in the consultation process with Australia Post commences, the CWU’s advocacy will be guided by the views of our members. It is critical that we accurately represent the experiences, concerns and priorities of those who will be directly affected by any change – you.

To ensure we are effectively representing your interests, we are seeking your feedback on the proposed return to office requirements and how they may affect you and your families personally.

We’ve developed a short survey that will take only a few minutes to complete. The feedback received will help inform your Union’s response to Australia Post and shape our ongoing advocacy throughout the consultation process – and beyond.

Finally, if you work alongside someone who is not yet a CWU member, please share this survey with them and encourage them to join the Union. Together, we’re stronger, and now is the time to stand together.
