Last day to request replacement ballot material

With the closing date of the ballot quickly approaching, today is an important day.

If you have not yet received your ballot papers, or you have damaged or lost them, you must request a replacement from the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) today.

Don’t think your vote doesn’t matter – it is critical, and your workmates need you to vote.

Under the Fair Work Act, at least 50% of members must actually vote in the ballot for the result to be valid.

This means, not voting at all is as good as voting no – benefiting only the bosses.

Andy Penn-ypincher and his mob of wage thieving executives want you to swallow a pay cut, in real terms, whilst paying themselves millions and sacking 9,500 of your colleagues.

Don’t let them steal your vote, too.

With the protected action ballot being conducted by AEC centrally in Melbourne, today is the last possible day for members outside of Victoria to request replacement ballot material for it to arrive in time for you to complete and return your vote.

To request replacement ballot material, you must contact the AEC directly on the following details:

Michelle Knight or Ashleigh Ratcliffe, AEC – (03) 9285 7171

By voting, and voting yes, you are sending a clear message to the executive mob that enough is enough – that Telstra workers and their families deserve better.
