After the green light was given to proceed with our ballot for protected industrial action, the CEPU has been in discussions with the Australian Electoral Commission.We can now advise that the ballot will officially open on Wednesday 9 September.
Here are the key dates:
- 1 September, 5.00pm – rolls close
- 9 September, 5.00pm – ballot opens and papers sent out
- 10 September – ballot papers start reaching members – please vote YES and return ballot in envelope provided STRAIGHT AWAY
- BALLOT CLOSES: 2 October, 10am – get your papers back by this time
- 5 October – CEPU estimates results likely to be known

Please remember:
- The CEPU is recommending members vote YES in the ballot, to assist in obtaining an EBA that provides security, safety and better protection of take home pay.
