The CEPU is the relevant Union representing workers employed in Australia’s Postal, Telecommunications and IT industries.
The NSW Postal and Telecommunications Branch is the largest representative section of the union covering these industries and has presently around 9000 members. The Branch relies on the professional administration support role as an integral part of its overall operations.
There are employment opportunities available within our general administration section. The successful applicant shall be required to be punctual, reliable and competent in undertaking general administration and receptionist functions.
Applicants shall be required to demonstrate the following capabilities;
- Friendly receptionist and telephone experience
- Microsoft Windows operating environment
- Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of software
- Data entry
- Bookkeeping and MYOB accounting software experience is desirable, however is not mandatory.
Previous employment within the Trade Union movement is desirable but at the very least, applicants who identify with and/or are sympathetic to the labour movement’s objectives shall be favourably considered.
Remuneration
Generous, above Award level salary, entitlements and conditions along with superannuation benefits shall be available to the successful applicant. Salary shall be determined on experience and capability.
The roles are predominately full-time hours with reduced attendance rostering available, however part time hours or flexible working arrangements may also be considered.
