The CWU has continued to pursue a fairer pay outcome through further EBA talks with Telstra.
As previously advised, Telstra’s pay offer consisted of wage movements of 4% in year one, 3.5% in year two and 3% in year three – guaranteed to be paid in full to Workstream employees, with Job Family employees again having these amounts attributed to a pay pool and then distributed at varying amounts based on management discretion.
Earlier this week, we wrote to advise you that we had secured an improvement on this offer for Job Family employees, consisting of a guaranteed minimum increase for Job Family employees of 3% in year one.
Following further talks with Telstra, we are pleased to advise members we have secured even further improvements to Telstra’s pay offer.
Telstra’s improved offer now consists of the following guaranteed minimum wage increases, for Job Family employees who achieve a performance rating of 3 or above:
- 3% in year one;
- 2.5% in year two; and
- 2% in year three.
As we continue to push for pay parity between the employment models, we welcome the improvement to the pay conditions for Job family employees under this offer.
Discussions with Telstra are set to resume on Monday, 17 June, focussing on the Union’s opposition to Telstra’s proposal to introduce split shifts for retail employees and to remove minimum engagement periods in any new Agreement.
We will keep members updated as talks are progressed.
